To meet demand for AWS cloud computing capacity in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), we are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join the team. As a Data Center Commissioning Engineer (CxE), you will be part of a highly creative, efficient team tasked with tackling challenging problems building and supporting the operations of AWS owned data centres and Colocation facilities. The AWS Commissioning team (ACx) understands, evaluates, defines and manages construction quality to meet customer requirements.
The Commissioning Engineer (CxE) will provide multi-discipline input into project scheduling, test script development, design, and planning. Additional duties include reviewing component submittal packages, leading Factory Witness Testing (FWT), and performing system-level and integrated system testing. During commissioning, the CxE will audit activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements. The role also requires comprehensive weekly reporting of project status and lessons learned to continuously improve program quality. This position may cover multiple inflight projects.

The AWS Data Center Commissioning Team (ACx) is a wholly independent business within the DCGS organization. This team includes Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, and Architectural Engineers, Project Managers, Operators and experienced Amazonians who provide detailed engineering and operational review and testing of equipment designs, functionality, and construction practices. We focus on rapid quality delivery while maintaining transparency and recording metrics to identify opportunities for peers and customers.
