Pentagon Technical Services is seeking an experienced Commissioning MV Engineer to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Spain. You will lead commissioning of medium-voltage systems, switchgear, protection, and critical power infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on testing, fault finding, and documentation, with rotation available and a long-term project horizon.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Commissioning MV Engineer / MV Commissioning Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with MV switchgear and protection systems.
• Experience with MV circuit breakers, transformers, CTs and VTs.
• Knowledge of protection and control systems.
• Familiarity with testing equipment (OMICRON CMC 356, CPC 100, Megger or equivalent).
• Experience in data centres, substations or critical infrastructure.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
• Understanding of electrical testing and commissioning procedures.
• Relevant electrical/engineering qualifications.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced commissioning environment.

Responsabilidades

• Commissioning and testing of MV electrical systems.
• Testing and commissioning of MV switchgear and associated equipment.
• Functional testing of MV circuit breakers, protection systems, CTs and VTs.
• Carrying out primary and secondary injection testing.
• Testing of protection relays and trip circuits.
• Supporting L1–L5 commissioning activities.
• Reviewing electrical drawings, schematics and commissioning procedures.
• Completing commissioning test sheets, reports and documentation.
• Identifying, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during commissioning.
• Working closely with the commissioning team, electrical contractors, vendors and client representatives.
• Ensuring all MV commissioning activities are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements.

Commissioning MV Engineer – Data Centre Project | Spain

We are currently looking for an experienced Commissioning MV Engineer to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Spain.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced MV commissioning professional with a strong background in medium-voltage systems, switchgear, protection and critical power infrastructure to work on a large-scale data centre project.

Key Responsibilities

• Commissioning and testing of MV electrical systems
• Testing and commissioning of MV switchgear and associated equipment
• Functional testing of MV circuit breakers, protection systems, CTs and VTs
• Carrying out primary and secondary injection testing
• Testing of protection relays and trip circuits
