dsm-firmenich is seeking a Commercial Project Manager to own the commercial outcome from briefs through to first commercial shipment, while managing customer relationships and coordinating across technical, regulatory, quality and supply teams. You will ensure ongoing opportunities stay current in CRM and ERP, pushing for improvements and refining our value proposition as we approach launches.

• Hold both sides together when plans change and re-set expectations.
• Mobilise technical, quality, formulation, regulatory and supply teams without line authority and keep opportunities updated in CRM and ERP.
• Lead improvements at the interface of customer demand and process to fix and improve friction.
• Sharpen offerings by learning customer needs for launches and shaping value propositions and services.

Introduction

A brand owner has an idea. The terms get agreed, and then nothing happens, unless someone makes it happen. That is you, the Commercial Project Manager, holding customer, project manager, formulation, regulatory and supply together until the product hits the shelf (and a happy customer).

Your key responsibilities

• Own the commercial outcome. Once a brief, price, timeline and volume are agreed, the opportunity is yours to convert through to first commercial shipment.
• Take the customer relationship over from the Business Development Manager and represent dsm-firmenich in every conversation that follows.
• Hold both sides together when things move. Customers change their minds, teams hit constraints, questions surface late. You re-set expectations in both directions and keep the opportunity standing.
• Mobilise the technical, quality, formulation, regulatory and supply people you need, without line authority over any of them, and keep every live opportunity current in CRM and ERP.
• Lead the improvements you can see. You sit where customer expectation meets our process, so you meet the friction first and you are expected to fix & improve it, not report it.
• Sharpen what we offer. You learn what customers actually need on the way to launch, so you shape where our value proposition, our next innovations and services should go.

You bring

• Minimum 5 years of experience owning projects or accounts in supplements, nutrition, food or pharma, ideally alongside brand owners, tollers or CDMOs. A degree in life sciences, food science, pharmacy or a related field is preferred.
• You have taken at least two products all the way to market, and at least one of them changed shape along the way.
• A strong sense of accountability. You take initiative, speak up, and see things through. You are responsible and focus on what matters.
• Curiosity and an open mind, because you believe progress starts with asking, “Is there a better way?”
• A collaborative spirit. You are at your best when working across teams, functions and countries.
