Operations Engineer - Backup (f / m / d)

Responsibilities

• Availability comes first in your daily business : You administer, operate and maintain our system environments and are on call to troubleshoot when things get stuck or are on fire, on site or remotely.
• Our complex backup solutions will quickly become your second home. This means you think strategically, create the concepts, provide advice and accompany the implementation. And you stay on the ball to continuously develop and optimize them.
• Of course, you not only keep your own knowledge up to date, but also the corresponding presentations, documentation and manuals.
• In everything you do, continuity is your magic word and your input is of central importance for our BCP processes.
• For you, interfaces have a personal dimension as well as a technical one, which system manufacturers and partners appreciate just as much as users and your team.

Your Profile

• STEM degree or comparable training in IT
• Good knowledge of an enterprise backup solution (e.g. NetBackup, Veeam)
• First professional experience in the field of IT infrastructure and knowledge of basic IT infrastructures
• Basic knowledge of handling and operating server and storage systems
• Fit in dealing with all Office programs
• Independent and structured way of working
• Ability to think outside the box and develop sustainable solutions
• Good knowledge of German and English
