Overview

Commercial Counsel – Blockchain & Fintech Legal Strategy – Remote – Must be based in the European Union (remote-first, office optional). France/Paris or nearby is strongly preferred. Full-Time | €80,000–€120,000 + Equity | 5+ Years Experience | Legal & Compliance

Role Overview: A fast-growing blockchain infrastructure platform is hiring a Commercial Counsel to lead all contract-related legal matters across global operations. This is a hands-on, high-impact role supporting sales, product, and operations teams while balancing legal risk with business velocity. You’ll draft and negotiate commercial agreements, build scalable legal processes, and ensure compliance with fintech and crypto regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS agreements, NDAs, MSAs, DPAs, and vendor contracts
• Support deal flow and growth initiatives across sales and product teams
• Oversee vendor onboarding, including KYB and due diligence
• Develop playbooks, templates, and scalable contract workflows
• Advise internal teams on legal risks, obligations, and compliance
• Ensure alignment with data protection, financial, and crypto regulatory frameworks
• Collaborate with external counsel and manage legal operations efficiently

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years in commercial or contracts law (preferably in-house)
• Admitted to practice law in France, EU, or US (multi-jurisdictional expertise a plus)
• Strong experience with complex B2B agreements
• Familiarity with SaaS, fintech, or blockchain contracts
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Pragmatic, business-minded approach to legal strategy
• Fluent in English; French is a plus
