Indra Group is seeking a Collision Avoidance Engineer to join our team working on space missions. You will engage in astrodynamics, orbit analysis, and SSA-related operations to ensure the safety and success of Near-Earth space activities.

The role requires expertise in astrodynamics, orbital perturbations, and Linux environments, with advanced Python skills and a willingness to provide 24/7 on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of Astrodynamics.
• Experience with Near-Earth orbits and orbital perturbations.
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle Linux/Linux environments.
• Advanced Python programming skills.
• Availability for 24/7 on-call operational support.

Responsibilities

• Support collision avoidance activities for spacecraft operating in Near-Earth orbits.
• Perform conjunction assessment and collision risk analysis using astrodynamics and orbital mechanics principles.
• Contribute to orbit determination activities and analysis of orbital perturbations.
• Support Space Situational Awareness (SSA) operational activities and monitoring of the space environment.
• Participate in time-critical operational scenarios, including on-call support and spacecraft operations activities.
