Are you an experienced Lead Developer looking for a new challenge? Are you ready to join a development team working on an innovative customer communications platform in Valencia, Spain? Then saddle up and join our fast-growing start-up for the ride of your life!

Saysimple is an omnichannel communication platform (SaaS) that allows companies to communicate with their customers through all communication channels, such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, etc., from a central inbox. We’re looking for someone just like you to help rapidly expand and further innovate this platform. Our development team works on API development, microservices, CI/CD, and metrics.

As a team of engineers (developers/ops), we collaborate to develop and maintain our SaaS platform in three weekly sprints. Our Scrum Master and Product Owner support us in achieving our goals. We work with tight sprint schedules, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

We believe that a good product is scalable, so we work with a DTAP pipeline, microservices, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines for automatic builds, tests, and deployment.

Our stack includes AWS, Node.js, TypeScript, Vue.js, MySQL, Git, Kubernetes, and Docker.

About you :

We are seeking an experienced and driven Lead Developer for our fast-growing organization. You will play a leading role in our international development team (Spain and the Netherlands) and report to the CTO.

You will be responsible for mentoring your international team members, delivering high-quality software solutions, and contributing to new features. This role is hands-on; while some time will be spent managing colleagues, most will involve co-developing. We seek an independent expert with progressive insights and knowledge of Ops & Development.

You are resourceful, forward-thinking, and value good documentation. You love exploring new technologies. Your experience enables you to have a broad view of projects, take final responsibility, and be a full discussion partner across the organization.

Your responsibilities :

1. Providing technical leadership for our platform development
2. Collaborating closely with your team to build new features
3. Coaching junior and medior developers to enhance their skills
4. Writing functional and technical code
5. Reviewing colleagues’ code
6. Providing emergency IT support
7. Managing and monitoring our EKS stack, databases, and load balancers
8. Minimum 6 years of relevant development experience
9. Demonstrable experience leading a development team
10. Experience in writing and improving unit & integration tests
11. Experience with OpenAPI specifications
12. Experience connecting external systems via APIs
13. Ability to analyze complex systems
14. Ability to contribute early technical considerations
15. Proven expertise in performance and security
16. Experience working within Scrum methodology
17. Fluent English skills, both verbal and written
18. Interest in testing, data analysis, and security
19. A GitHub repository showcasing your projects
