ALBA is a leading Spanish synchrotron light source near Barcelona, expanding multiple beamlines and facilities. We seek a mid-to-senior civil/construction engineer to lead Work Packages for ALBA II projects and report to the Project Manager.

You will oversee design-to-commissioning, manage budgets, and coordinate with subcontractors, contributing to a major upgrade. The role requires a bachelor in a relevant civil field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering or construction

Formación

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience on civil engineering and/or construction projects.
• Experience drafting technical specification sheets and in the design of technical installations.
• English language level is advantageous for international collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee and monitor civil engineering and construction projects from conceptual design through commissioning, including tendering oversight.
• Supervise subcontracted civil engineering and construction work.
• Develop new technical installations for beamlines, accelerators, and laboratories.
• Prepare and manage budgets and project execution schedules for the work group.
• Draft project plans and technical specifications for construction-related tenders.
• Support facility maintenance plans and operation of industrial control systems.
• Acquire deep knowledge of HVAC, compressed air, and de-ionized water cooling systems for diagnostics.
