A recruitment partner is looking for a CoE Tax Advisor in Alicante, Spain, to provide critical support on Direct and Indirect tax issues. The role requires overseeing tax activities, managing audits, and providing strategic advice within a multinational context. Candidates should hold a degree in Law or Finance with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Remote work is available with appropriate approvals.

Formación

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in direct & indirect tax advisory and tax reporting.

  • Ability to explain complex concepts and influence stakeholders.

CoE Tax Advisor

For our Global CoE Tax team, we are seeking a CoE Tax Advisor to provide support and advice on Direct tax (including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Withholding Tax Accounting, and Tax Reporting) and Indirect tax (VAT, Intrastat, EU Sales Tax, etc.) across various countries where the Group operates.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist tax and accounting teams with technical and process-related questions on Direct & Indirect tax, Tax Accounting, Tax Reporting, and Tax Compliance within GBS for the assigned countries.
  • Manage complex tax activities regionally and globally, including supporting and steering Tax Audits.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within GBS and coordinate with CoE / GPO organizations.
  • Monitor key process metrics to evaluate performance (e.g., dedicated ICS reviewer).
  • Maintain knowledge by guiding, documenting, and training team members.
  • Serve as the caretaker for outsourcing processes and as the first point of contact.
  • Conduct quality gate activities such as risk-based reviews of tax declarations, approval of significant tax payments, and review of declarations for complex entities and issues.
  • Organize and deliver training to enhance tax knowledge within the team.
  • Define additional data validation checks and collaborate with GPO.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Law or Finance
  • Master's degree in Taxation
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in direct & indirect tax advisory, tax accounting, and tax reporting
  • Experience working in the tax department of multinational companies, preferably with Big 4 or international tax firms; experience in GBS centers is advantageous
  • Strong tax judgment and ability to quickly acquire new knowledge
  • Advanced analytical skills and a proactive approach to implementing changes or new regulations
  • Ability to explain complex concepts and influence stakeholders effectively
  • Customer and goal-oriented mindset, with the ability to understand complex issues and translate them into operational activities; excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Remote working arrangements are permitted with appropriate approval and adherence to company policies, from the employee's country of residence.
