Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Chef, the responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing consistently professional, warm, and proactive service to guests while supporting colleagues.
  • Assisting in the preparation and service of all menu options and/or buffets according to recipes and hotel standards.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment, with knowledge of HACCP standards and their practical application.
  • Reviewing and controlling kitchen supplies, reporting any issues, and notifying maintenance of any incidents.
  • Informing the section chef or Sous Chef of excess or shortage of ingredients for daily use, and managing the conservation and utilization of products provided.
  • Preparing dishes according to recipes, quality standards, and hotel presentation guidelines, minimizing waste.
  • Supporting the Chef de Partie in training, evaluating, and motivating the team.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the culinary field.
  • Diploma or certification in a culinary discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Focus on guest needs, maintaining calmness and courtesy at all times.
  • Languages: Spanish; English is a plus.
  • Experience in a similar role; experience in similar category hotels or gastronomic restaurants is valued.
  • Contract: Permanent.
