Job summary

7Pines Resort Ibiza, an award-winning luxury sanctuary between Cala Conta and Cala Codolar, seeks a Commis to join our kitchen brigade and deliver authentic Ibizan hospitality. You will prepare mise en place, assist in presenting dishes, and support hygiene and waste policies in a high-end environment.

Ideal candidates speak Spanish or English, have EU citizenship, and bring experience in 5-star/luxury hotels with a team-focused mindset and autonomy.

Qualifications

• Openminded, EU citizenship and suitability for the position.
• Able to communicate in Spanish or English; knowledge of additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare kitchen utensils and ingredients for the outlet menu.
• Prepare simple food items and assist in service.
• Check, receive and store goods; keep storage areas tidy.
• Clean kitchen and equipment; manage waste according to standards.

What we are looking for:

The job of Commis is successfully executed when:

• Prepares the mise enplace and manages food preparation and assists in the presentation of food as part of the brigade according to the standards and rules of their superiors.
• Complies with health and hygiene standards (HACCP).
• Energy and material saving policy is followed and waste generated is recycled.
• Good communication is maintained with all colleagues in the team and other departments on matters that may affect the hotel's operations and the well-being of guests.

The usual responsibilities of the position include:

Preparing kitchen utensils for use. Gathering and preparing ingredients for the asigned outlet menu items. Preparing simple food items. Preparing food for service. Assisting in the checking, receiving and storage of goods. Keep storage areas tidy. Clean kitchen and equipment, handle waste and linen.

Requirements

The person we are looking for, must have the following qualities:

• Openminded, EU Citizenship and studies suitable for the position.
• Focused on service and highly oriented to customer and results.
• Speak Spanish or English. Any other language is considered a plus.
• Knowledge and experience in 5 star/luxury hotels.
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
