JOB DESCRIPTION : A Cluster Marketing Director for Makkah Hotels plays a critical role in developing and implementing the annual marketing plan, driving key objectives, current initiatives, and relevant marketing activities related directly to the cluster. The role involves leading the cluster’s marketing team and ensuring the department plays an integral role in aligning all functional areas to meet commercial targets.

As Cluster Marketing Director, you will be responsible for the results of the marketing plan and activities used by the hotel to increase brand awareness, communicate promotions to relevant target markets, and address hotel business needs. Your key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and managing the annual cluster marketing plan, including eCommerce, brand, and loyalty marketing within budget.
  2. Driving B2B and B2C strategies by segment for each hotel, aligned with the commercial focus.
  3. Measuring success of marketing activities and producing performance reports for stakeholders.
  4. Overseeing marketing initiatives to meet revenue targets, leveraging regional marketing, eCommerce, partnerships, and third-party distribution.
  5. Executing promotional activities across channels, ensuring brand consistency and effectiveness.
  6. Supporting sales and F&B teams with marketing collateral and initiatives.
  7. Championing the brand, ensuring collateral complies with standards and budgets.
  8. Supporting brand campaigns and social media strategies, growing followers, and engaging customers.
  9. Managing CRM, database, and loyalty programs at the cluster level.
  10. Identifying local partnership opportunities and executing revenue-driving activities.

Additional responsibilities include:

  1. Achieving performance goals and managing projects within resources and budgets.
  2. Representing marketing during commercial meetings and identifying revenue opportunities.
  3. Conducting competitive analysis and ensuring brand compliance.
  4. Leading content management across all channels and participating in industry events.
  5. Supporting merchandising activities and responding to internal/external requests.

Developing Talent

  • Create an effective marketing team, foster a positive culture, and encourage career growth.
  • Implement Personal Development Plans and conduct performance reviews.
  • Encourage participation in training and industry networking events.

Building Relationships

  • Maintain open communication with operational teams and develop relationships with external partners.
  • Represent the marketing team effectively within the organization and externally.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Marketing or Hotel Management.
  • Experience in a similar hospitality marketing role, with team management skills.
  • Proven project management, campaign creation, and budget management experience.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and possibly other languages.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Professional appearance, positive attitude, and a customer-focused approach.

Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, experience with a global hotel brand, and additional language skills.
