A global consultancy is seeking an experienced cloud architect based in Badajoz, Extremadura, to design and implement cloud architecture with a focus on Generative AI integration and data processing optimization. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of AWS serverless services and hands-on experience with Terraform and Python. This role emphasizes cost-optimization strategies and solid documentation practices.

Who are you?

We are looking for experienced cloud architects for:

1. Designing the overall architecture for integrating with Generative AI, Snowflake, and AWS.
2. Defining and managing artefacts via CI/CD pipelines based on Azure DevOps.
3. Evolution of the data processing pipeline using Step Functions, DMS, Glue, and Lambda, e.g., by adding automated data health checks.
4. Extension of the configuration options by enhancing the parsing of a config file (Python-based).
5. All platform development to be done using Terraform or similar tools.

Required knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of and hands-on experience with AWS serverless services like Glue, Athena, Step Functions, SageMaker, DynamoDB, EKS, as well as fundamental services like S3, IAM, VPC.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-code, ideally using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience with Python, ideally with the boto3 and the “AWS SDK for pandas” libraries.
• Additional experience with data stores and data analysis in the cloud is helpful.
• Knowledge of agile implementation methods and common project tools (like Azure DevOps).
• Strong understanding of security and compliance in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in implementing cost-optimization strategies.
• Good documentation and coaching practices.
