The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization is leading the effort to create the desired customer experience through support offer creation, driving digital transformation across our tools, and delivering operational excellence across CE&S.

To help drive this effort, Microsoft is investing in the creation of a Customer Success dedicated team that will play a key role in helping Microsoft customers achieve this digital transformation through successful adoption of Microsoft Cloud solutions and Services.

The Customer Success team will drive change management and adoption activities with key business decision makers and IT decision makers, helping reduce implementation risk, driving usage of existing solutions, and identifying opportunities to accelerate the path for customers to realize business value from their investments.

We are looking for a highly motivated Azure Infrastructure Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) in our Global Customer Success organization. This customer-facing role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities mainly focusing on migrations to the Azure Platform. You will own the Azure infrastructure technical customer engagements, providing subject matter expertise including architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects, and pilots. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer-facing roles and success leading deep technical architecture discussions with senior customer executives, Enterprise Architects, IT Management, and Developers to drive core Infrastructure solutions and Datacenter migrations. You will implement technical strategies for customer success, drive upskilling initiatives, guide field teams in technical execution, and actively contribute to IP creation. Your role extends to fostering collaboration across groups for developing customer-ready content. You will act as a linchpin between field teams and the Global Customer Success organization, collaborating closely with the Product group to integrate the latest advancements. Drive high-priority customer initiatives in collaboration with customers and in the Microsoft field. This is a customer-facing role, responsible for providing end-to-end technical guidance and expertise. Qualifications

  • Deep domain expertise in cloud infrastructure solutions (e.g., Windows and Linux IaaS, SAP, BCDR, Security, Management, Storage, Networking, OSS, containers, Infra as code technologies, AVD, AVS), with broad technical experience and the aptitude to learn and adapt to new technologies and trends.
  • Experience and understanding of large-scale infrastructure deployments and migrations in enterprise environments.
  • Experience in consultative migration, modernization, and deployment projects, managing stakeholder relationships to achieve consensus on solutions and projects.
  • Proven ability to work with large, complex enterprise accounts, architect cloud solutions, and support large-scale migrations.
  • Track record of building deep technical relationships with senior IT executives and growing data services in strategic accounts.
  • Strong decision-making, conflict resolution, and follow-through skills, with excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Comfortable presenting to both large and small audiences, including senior executives, IT management, and developers.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer infrastructure, IT, and business priorities to design architectures and solutions (including third-party solutions).
  • Use technical knowledge and customer insights to create migration and modernization roadmaps, architect solutions, and ensure successful deployments.
  • Develop relationships with key customer IT decision-makers to enable cloud advocacy and long-term adoption.
  • Maintain and enhance technical skills, stay updated on market trends, and share insights within the technical community.
  • Share customer insights and best practices, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve blockers.
  • Act as an Azure Platform evangelist with customers, partners, and external communities.
  • Assess customer knowledge of Azure and cloud readiness, supporting structured learning plans and delivery through partners.
