Qalea is seeking a security-focused engineer to own and evolve our security infrastructure—from endpoint detection to cloud and code security. You will operate and improve an open-source stack across AWS/GCP, manage client environments, and automate repetitive tasks to reduce manual work.

Based in Barcelona with occasional remote days, you will collaborate with a small team, communicate security risks clearly to CTOs, and help scale our platform as we grow.

Formación

• 1-2 years hands-on experience with security infrastructure and operations.
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP provisioning, IAM, networking, security services.
• Interest in AI applied to security operations and automation.
• Experience dealing directly with clients / SOC team is a plus.
• Strong Linux systems administration skills; managing fleets of VMs.
• Experience operating open-source security tools (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners) in production.
• Solid networking fundamentals: VPNs, VPC, firewall rules, DNS.
• Scripting (Python, Bash) with automation focus.
• Understanding of vulnerability management lifecycle: scanning, triaging, prioritizing, remediation.
• Comfortable in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Run the security stack: operate, maintain and improve open-source security infrastructure.
• Manage infrastructure: provision cloud instances, VPNs to client environments, monitor capacity.
• Build and deploy endpoint agents to client endpoints, manage certificates.
• Automate operations with scripts and serverless workflows.
• Improve detection and response by tuning alerts and reducing false positives.
• Support client escalations with deep technical explanations.
• Own integrations with AWS, GCP and Azure using OAuth/OIDC.
• Explore AI-enabled security ops to reduce manual intervention.
