About the job

The CISO is looking for a Cloud Platform Administrator to install, configure, maintain, support, and service customer SAS cloud systems & environments hosted by SAS or deployed on the customer’s premises.

You will be entering a new and rapidly growing area in SAS global. You will have the opportunity to help shape our regional operations while working with a variety of customers daily.

As a Sr Cloud Platform Administrator, you will:
  1. Deliver excellent customer service with a customer-first and continuous improvement mindset.
  2. Provide hands-on administration, maintenance, and installation of SAS Enterprise software and solutions.
  3. Support global PSD/Partner delivered batch jobs and automations.
  4. Manage daily tasks through SAS Cloud ticketing systems, adhering to CIS best practices for ticket updates.
  5. Apply IT Service Management best practices for change, incident, and problem management to meet SLA requirements for SAS Cloud customers.
  6. Create and maintain documentation, including runbooks, knowledge base articles, and wiki content.
  7. Configure, manage, monitor, and debug mid-tier software.
  8. Manage, monitor, and maintain container-based applications in cloud container services.
  9. Develop tools and software to manage SAS and third-party software.
  10. Diagnose, document, report, and resolve system issues.
  11. Collaborate directly with external customers and support teams, including vendors.
  12. Participate in on-call rotations.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Provide comprehensive support for software systems.
  2. Analyze data processing needs and propose hardware/software solutions to meet those needs.
Required Qualifications
  • At least two years of experience in end-user and system administration consulting or similar roles.
  • Experience with modern cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP, along with Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Curiosity, passion, authenticity, and accountability align with our core values.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of programming languages, operating systems, utilities, and editors relevant to the role.
  • Deep technical knowledge of system internals and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to visualize solutions based on documentation or runbooks.
  • Proficiency in scripting or software development acknowledging machine architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
  • Quick learner of new tools and facilities from documentation.
  • Understanding of system architectures and interdependencies within infrastructure.
