Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the development of their cloud-native big data platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end data solutions using Azure services.

Main responsibilities :

• Design and implement robust data architectures that support business goals and enhance decision-making processes
• Develop and maintain data models that support the structure and flow of data within the organization
• Implement effective monitoring metrics and strategies to ensure the performance and integrity of data systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues related to data and support their infrastructure needs
• Work with data governance teams to ensure that data solutions comply with security and privacy regulations and policies

Requirements :

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in designing highly scalable data architectures, both batch and streaming, at hyperscale data volumes and for multi-region deployments. They will also have deep knowledge of Azure data cloud services and technologies, as well as experience designing, deploying, and managing data solutions.

Prioritised skills include :

• Experience in managing data projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring
• Knowledge of fundamentals in areas such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence processes; GIS software products; Data and AI pipelines, including Dev Ops and MLOps
• Azure Data and Databricks Certifications
• Experience in ESRI and / or geospatial data
• Masters & other higher-level education
• International work experience
