Descripción del empleo

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

My client is a leader in disruptive video content delivery technology (MultiCDN) solutions used by streaming and broadcasting organizations worldwide. They are expanding their team and seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in software and systems engineering to build and operate large-scale, distributed systems. This key role involves working remotely from anywhere within 2-3 hours of CET, with flexibility in start times, aligning with the team’s 9am WET start.

The company is well-prepared for remote hiring, especially during these times, and offers an opportunity to join an innovative team building the future of media streaming. There is also an option to relocate to Tenerife, Spain, for interested candidates.

Position details:

Join a company with a portfolio of disruptive products in content delivery and media streaming. As they expand internationally beyond their Tenerife base, they aim to deliver high-quality services to a growing global customer base.

Having grown from a startup, they are looking to add exceptional individuals to their engineering team to support their engagement with top industry players and plans for new product development.

This is a full-time remote position with flexible work hours, designed to keep you ahead of the competition.

What you will find in this position:

We seek a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to help scale and secure AWS-based infrastructure, support engineering efforts by building reliable systems, enhance observability with Grafana, and implement security best practices. Ideal candidates have some professional cloud experience and a passion for learning and ownership.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve service monitoring automation to detect issues proactively.
  • Design and maintain reliable cloud architecture with minimal downtime.
  • Implement security policies for engineering services.
  • Investigate and resolve infrastructure, code, configuration, and data issues.
  • Document and share knowledge within the team.
  • Stay updated on the latest DevOps tools and strategies.

What we expect from you:

  • Experience with AWS cloud environments.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, preferably Terraform.
  • Experience with large-scale production systems.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Support security best practices, including IAM, secrets management, and VPCs.
  • Participation in incident response and postmortems (on-call experience).
  • Familiarity with source control systems like Git or GitLab.
  • Ability to work within Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Team-oriented and proactive in workflow improvements.
  • Open to challenges.

While the position is fully remote with flexible hours, some synchronization with team members is necessary, typically between 09:00 and 13:00 WET.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with serverless architectures on AWS.
  • Knowledge of open-source databases or message brokers (Postgres, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
  • Experience with performance or security testing.
  • Familiarity with container technologies like ECS, EKS, Docker.
  • Contributions to security or observability initiatives.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
  • Experience in collaborative DevOps or SRE cultures.

Candidates are not expected to have expertise in all areas; a strong interest and capabilities in a few are sufficient.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary.
  • Promotion of equal opportunities.
  • Opportunities to learn and work with cutting-edge technologies.
  • A healthy, communicative, and open company culture.
  • Global customer base with a focus on work-life balance and flexible hours.
