My client is a leader in disruptive video content delivery technology (MultiCDN) solutions used by streaming and broadcasting organizations worldwide. They are seeking to hire a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who combines software and systems engineering to build and operate large-scale, distributed systems. This key role in our growing Cloud platform is remote, within 2-3 hours of CET, with flexible start times aligned with the team at 9am WET.

Our client supports fully remote hiring, especially during these times, and offers relocation to Tenerife, Spain, for interested candidates. In this role, you'll support our AWS-based infrastructure by building reliable systems, enhancing observability with Grafana, and implementing security best practices. We seek someone with some professional cloud experience, eager to learn and take ownership.

Responsibilities
  • Improve service monitoring and automation for timely production issue detection.
  • Design and maintain reliable, near-zero downtime cloud architecture.
  • Develop and enforce security policies for our services.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, code, and data issues.
  • Document knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Stay updated with the latest DevOps tools and strategies.
What we expect from you
  • Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (preferably Terraform).
  • Experience designing and operating large-scale systems.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Container orchestration experience (Kubernetes).
  • Support security practices like IAM, secrets management, VPC isolation.
  • Participation in incident response and on-call activities.
  • Experience with source control (Git, GitLab).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and proactive workflow improvement.

While fully remote, some synchronization with team members is required, typically between 09:00 and 13:00 CET during summer.

Nice to have
  • Serverless architecture experience (AWS).
  • Experience with open-source databases/message brokers (Postgres, Redis, Kafka, etc.).
  • Experience with performance/security testing.
  • Knowledge of container technologies (ECS, EKS, Docker).
  • Contributions to security or observability initiatives.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
  • Experience in DevOps/SRE cultures.
