My client is a leader in disruptive video content delivery technology (MultiCDN) solutions used worldwide. They seek a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to build and operate large-scale, distributed systems, working remotely within 2/3 hours of CET. Remote work is supported, with a start time aligned with the team at 9am WET, offering flexibility. Relocation to Tenerife, Spain, is an option.

The company is expanding internationally, building a portfolio of innovative products in content delivery and media streaming. They value growth, with plans to add talented individuals to their engineering team, working with top clients globally. They offer full-time remote positions with flexible schedules, aiming to stay ahead in the industry.

Position Details

Seeking a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with experience in AWS to support scaling and securing infrastructure, improve observability with Grafana, and implement security best practices. A passion for learning and ownership is essential.

Responsibilities

• Enhance service monitoring automation for timely problem detection.
• Design and maintain reliable cloud architecture with minimal downtime.
• Develop and enforce security policies for services.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, code, configuration, and data issues.
• Document and share knowledge within the team.
• Stay updated with CIE/DevOps tools and strategies.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience with AWS cloud environment.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
• Experience with large-scale production systems.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Support security best practices (IAM, secrets management, VPC).
• Participation in incident response and postmortem processes.
• Familiarity with source control systems (Git, GitLab).
• Ability to work with Agile methodologies.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and willing to take on challenges.

While remote and flexible, availability for daily synchronization between 09:00 and 13:00 WET is preferred.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Serverless architecture experience (AWS).
• Experience with databases/message brokers (Postgres, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Performance/security testing experience.
• Knowledge of container technologies (ECS, EKS, Docker).
• Contributions to security or observability initiatives.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
• Experience in DevOps or SRE culture.

Expertise in all areas is not expected; strength in a few and interest in others is sufficient.
