Job Description

Deutsche Telekom Technik GmbH a subsidiary of Telekom Deutschland GmbH, provides the nationwide technical infrastructure of German tear one fixed and mobile network operator. Approximately 19,000 employees at DT Technik are responsible for planning, design, and operations of technical facilities and systems. The company also implements network projects, operates network technology, and maintains the technical infrastructure.

Tribe Voice & Messaging is responsible for the design, development, planning, validation, and operation of all voice and messaging platforms within DT Technik’s fixed and mobile networks throughout their entire lifecycle. We provide innovative and reliable state-of-the-art services to our customers.

We as Squad Advisor & Capacity, as part of Tribe Voice & Messaging, are driving onboarding, rollout and migration of our key voice and messaging applications onto a unified internal Telekom Kubernetes cloud, integrating previously separate mobile and landline systems into convergent cloud native solution with automation on each level of our stack. By this cloudification initiative, we are breaking new ground on many levels. Your daily work will be providing of guidance, helping hand to different application teams and you will be responsible for internal team applications and automation solution around it.

Qualifications

Advisors help, share experience and guide the projects and technical teams to manage the transition to cloud infrastructure, to achieve the our cloudification goals in the most efficient way possible:

• Provide guidance and best practices for different stages of onboarding, rollout & migration phases
• Coach and advise cloud projects concerning operation enabling activities
• Inspect & adapt, analyze continuously what can be improved and implementing the necessary measures.
• Perform error analysis and troubleshooting sessions as well as performance analysis and optimization measures
• Prepare and administrate the own project repository and application within K8S cluster
• Support the projects to reach final acceptance milestone
• Check operational readiness with cloud project lead
• Check mindset and operational tasks with focus on quality
• Firedrill with technical teams

Must have skills

• Solid knowledge and experience of LINUX and networking
• Knowledge and experience in concepts of cloud native application and container platforms, Kubernetes (K8s)
• Experience in developing and documenting complex, technical concepts/specifications, and requirements for a system
• Enjoy diving into new technical concepts and can share the knowledge with the team
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Ability to design and articulate technical and process concepts clearly
• Ability to steer the projects from a technical point of view
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams during transitions
• Ability to manage incidents, changes, and problem resolution
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance analysis
• English level C1 expected, German level B1 considered an advantage

You are accustomed to work in geographically distributed team using online tooling such as JIRA, confluence Wiki, Sharepoint, teams and alike.

The possition is currently planned to support Cloud Booster Program, what is a key delivery initiative of the Tribe T-VM and impacts several of the tribe’s platforms. This role acts as an advisor for technical onboarding, rollout and migration activities into our internal kubernetes cloud.
