Role of Cloud Engineer

The purpose of this role is to support Vodafone’s key strategic growth areas in IoT. The Group Enterprise Technology team requires highly capable and experienced DevOps & System-architects. You will establish an end-to-end agile culture within the IoT Infrastructure team, developing, managing, and executing automation across all IoT systems to enable project delivery. You will collaborate closely with technical leads, solution architects, integration engineers, external system integrators, and software developers to ensure timely, on-budget, and effective IoT project deliveries, following agile best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Architecting and deploying tools to enable infrastructure automation in cooperation with testing, applications, and enablement teams.
2. Ensuring effective delivery of IoT projects in agile environments.
3. Supporting ongoing and upcoming projects with automation and infrastructure solutions.

What do you bring?

• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting experience at the system administration level (e.g., Python, Ruby, Bash).
• Experience with cloud services, providers, and virtualization technologies.
• High level of independence, ownership, and proactive execution.
