A technology leader in cloud solutions is seeking a Cloud-Edge Systems Full-Stack Engineering Advisor (Contractor) to provide expert guidance on the development of cloud-edge infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in cloud-edge systems and a relevant degree. This role offers remote work flexibility with occasional face-to-face meetings and competitive compensation of up to 35 euros/hour.

OpenNebula Systems, a leader in open source cloud technology, is seeking a Cloud-Edge Systems Full-Stack Engineering Advisor (Contractor) to contribute to their IPCEI-CIS project. This role involves providing technical guidance on the development of cloud-edge infrastructures, supporting the design, validation, and documentation of complex distributed systems, and ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing expert guidance on distributed cloud-edge platform development across various environments.
• Supporting the design and validation of abstraction layers connecting data centers, cloud, and edge environments.
• Contributing to technical documentation and ensuring interoperability standards are met.
• Analyzing deployment models and orchestration workflows in multi-vendor scenarios.
• Reviewing and shaping technical materials and release notes.
• Evaluating emerging frameworks and promoting standardized practices.
• Collaborating with project partners to ensure technical alignment.

Duration and Location: From 1 August 2025 to 30 June 2026, remote work with occasional face-to-face meetings.

Compensation: Up to 35 euros/hour, maximum 1,800 hours/year, totaling approximately 57,750 euros.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud-edge systems or related fields.
• Bachelor, Master, or PhD in Computer Science or related discipline.

Administrative: Successful candidates must provide social security and tax compliance certificates before contract signing.
