A leading technology solutions provider is seeking an experienced Cloud Ops Engineer focused on Azure to join a long-term remote project. This role involves defining technical requirements, implementing automation, and ensuring system reliability. Candidates should have at least 3 years of Cloud Operations experience and proficiency in Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is required. The position allows for remote work from any European country with minimal onsite presence in Brussels.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Ops Engineer (Azure Focused) to join a long-term project supporting the design, deployment, and maintenance of advanced cloud infrastructures.

The professional will play a key role in defining technical requirements, collaborating with cloud providers, implementing automation, and ensuring system reliability through CI / CD processes, monitoring, and security governance.

This position is remote from any European country, with 3 days of onsite presence per month in Brussels, and offers a long-term, full-time engagement.

Responsibilities

• Define technical requirements, collaborate with cloud providers, implement automation, and ensure system reliability through CI / CD processes, monitoring, and security governance.

Technical Tools & Knowledge

• Advanced experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure, including AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) and Azure DevOps CI / CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of Docker and containerized environments.
• Familiarity with Nexus, Maven, NPM, and other related build and repository management tools.
• Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python, Shell / Bash, or equivalent automation languages.
• Experience implementing monitoring and alert systems, setting operational standards, and enforcing security policies.
• Understanding of Azure data services (Azure Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Data Factory, Event Hubs, API Management, Synapse, Databricks) and Data Mesh concepts is an asset.

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in Cloud Operations or DevOps Engineering, with exposure to complex, multi-tiered architectures.
• Proven record of automation and infrastructure deployment in production environments.
• Experience managing CI / CD pipelines and optimizing deployment workflows.
• Strong capability for root cause analysis, performance troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to define and maintain standards and best practices across multiple projects.
• Prior involvement in end-to-end project lifecycle, from design through implementation and documentation.

Education & Certifications

• Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Relevant certifications in Azure or DevOps are highly valued.

Employment Conditions

Modality: Remote from any European country, with 3 days / month onsite in Brussels.

Compensation

Type: Full-time, long-term assignment.

Compensation: Freelance rate Gross annual salary (employment option)
