Job Description: As a Cloud FinOps Engineer, you will analyze data streams, including cloud spend across platforms, identify potential cost savings, and define follow-up activities. Your role involves data extraction, setting up efficient processes and systems, and presenting data to a wider audience. You will work closely with DevOps and Finance teams to maintain cloud cost spend and environment stability through data analysis, consulting, documentation, and problem-solving.

Qualifications:

• Strong financial analysis skills, including forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis using tools like Excel, PowerBI, or other financial modeling tools.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices for accurate financial reporting.
• Experience in budget management, including development, tracking, and forecasting of spending.
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization strategies, such as rightsizing, reserved instances, and spot instances.
• Proficiency with cloud cost management tools like Azure Cost Management.
• Understanding of Azure services and pricing models for cost optimization.
• Ability to resolve billing issues or discrepancies with cloud vendors and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across finance, IT, and business teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying cost optimization opportunities.
• Proficient in creating financial reports and dashboards for cloud spending insights.
• Knowledge of compliance, security, and data protection requirements.
• Experience with automation and scripting to optimize cloud usage and costs.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for workflow automation.
• Project management skills to handle multiple initiatives.
• Ability to adapt in fast-paced environments and manage priorities.
• Understanding of agile methodologies for cost optimization.
• Mentoring and training skills for educating teams on cloud cost strategies.
• Relevant certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
