A clinical research company is seeking an experienced Freelance Clinical Research Nurse to join an upcoming study on acute ischaemic stroke patients. The role involves ad-hoc home visits, requiring candidates to be NMC-registered nurses with significant experience in acute settings and flexibility to integrate the role with their existing commitments. This is a chance to contribute vital research while maintaining a flexible work schedule.

Formación

• NMC-registered nurse with a minimum of 3 years’ post-registration experience.
• At least 1 year in acute care settings.
• Clinical research / trials experience highly preferred.
• Must be an existing freelancer or contractor with weekday flexibility.
• Owns a car and comfortable with travel.

Responsabilidades

• Support an upcoming clinical study focused on acute ischaemic stroke patients.
• Perform ad-hoc home visits to patients.

Freelance Clinical Research Nurse (Ad-Hoc)

Start Date : October

Location : Spain - Savilla, Santiago de Compostel, A Coruna, Albacete, Barcelona (role for each location)

Type : Freelance / Ad-Hoc

Rate : Competitive market rates

We are seeking experienced and flexible freelance nurses to support an upcoming clinical study focused on acute ischaemic stroke patients. This role involves ad-hoc home visits to patients, with the first visit scheduled at short notice (minimum 4 days' notice). Candidates must be confident working independently and able to integrate this study alongside other client work.

Key Details :

• Study Duration : 20 months
• Visit Duration : 2 hours
• Patient Profile : Stroke (Acute Ischaemic Stroke)

Required Clinical Skills :

Venepuncture

Centrifuge use & sample processing

ECG (performance only – no interpretation required)

Subcutaneous injection administration

Cannulation

Port-a-Cath access and de-access

Candidate Profile :

NMC-registered nurse with a minimum of 3 years’ post-registration experience

At least 1 year in acute care settings

Clinical research / trials experience highly preferred

Must be an existing freelancer or contractor with weekday flexibility

Additional Requirements :

Must have or be in the process of obtaining a valid GCP certificate

Must be highly organised and able to manage scheduling around existing commitments
