A leading Contract Research Organization, Aixial Group is seeking a Clinical – R Package Developer in Barcelona. This role involves leading the development of R packages, collaborating closely with biostatisticians, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics, a Master's degree or PhD, and significant experience in R programming within clinical settings.

Formación

  • At least 5 years of experience in R package development and clinical trials.
  • Familiarity with health data such as electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with biostatisticians.

Current Opening : Clinical – R Package Developer M / F

This role involves (non-exhaustive list) :

  • Leading the development of an R analytical library / package
  • Maintaining and tracking R packages
  • Mastering R development tools (Familiarity with devtools, roxygen2, usethis, testthat, etc.)
  • Working with health data : reimbursement requests, electronic medical records (EMR), and the OMOP data model
  • Collaborating closely with biostatisticians to transform statistical analysis plans (SAP) into reusable R functions
  • Ensuring traceability, version control (Git), dependency management, and adherence to software validation standards in a regulatory context

Your Profile :

  • Master’s degree (BAC+5) or PhD in statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing or contributing to R packages and SQL
  • Experience as an R Programmer in clinical trials within CROs and / or pharmaceutical labs
  • Solid understanding of best practices for structuring, documenting, and maintaining R packages
  • Ability to carry out complex tasks within deadlines, rigorous and organized
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
