Bayer in Barcelona seeks a financial professional to manage planning and tracking of external clinical study costs across countries, supporting Clinical Development Operations and Medical Affairs. You will partner with study teams to forecast, accrue, and analyze costs, ensuring timely reporting.

This role acts as the financial advisor for country study teams, driving cost management improvements and data quality while collaborating across functions in an international setting.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years in pharma industry or CRO.
• English fluency with strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting and cost forecasting in clinical trials.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and track external clinical study costs in cost-tracking systems across countries.
• Forecast clinical study costs with study teams.
• Calculate and post monthly accruals for clinical costs.
• Monitor monthly actuals and provide deviation analyses to country study teams.
• Ensure data quality of country-specific forecasts.
• Maintain knowledge of country-specific cost drivers and contracts.
• Serve as the point of contact for country study teams on clinical study finances.
• Collaborate across functions in an international environment.

In this role, you will manage planning and tracking of external clinical study costs across countries to support Clinical Development Operations and Medical Affairs. You will partner with study teams to forecast, accrue, and analyze clinical costs, ensuring data quality and timely reporting. You will act as the financial advisor for country study teams and drive process improvements in cost management. This is an opportunity to impact budgeting accuracy and cost optimization in a global clinical program. You will work in an international, cross-functional environment and communicate with a wide range of colleagues.

• Plan and track external clinical study costs in the cost tracking system with country study teams
• Forecast clinical study costs in collaboration with study teams
• Calculate and post monthly accruals for clinical study costs
• Monitor monthly cost actuals and provide deviation analyses to country study teams
• Ensure data quality of country study cost forecasts
• Maintain knowledge of country-specific cost drivers and related contracts
• Serve as the point of contact for country study teams on clinical study finances
• Communicate effectively across professional levels and functions in an international environment
• Seek support from the Bayer Local Organization as needed
• Identify opportunities for process improvement
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Admin / Pharmaceuticals / Life Sciences or equivalent
• 3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry or a CRO
• Advanced finance knowledge desirable
• Knowledge of the clinical development lifecycle / drug development process
• Ability to influence without hierarchical authority
• Willingness to embrace change and work in a changing environment
• Ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization
• Fluent in English and strong written/verbal communication
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and affinity to financial systems
