Functional Title : Client Onboarding Specialist

Reports to : Regional Head of Client Onboarding

Position Overview

The primary responsibilities of this position are :

  • Supporting the client onboarding process by coordinating the key steps to ensure a seamless transition from Sales to Business-As-Usual (BAU);
  • Acting as a first point of contact for client queries related to onboarding;
  • Coordinating client adoptions, account openings, review of fund offering documentation and legal agreements, internal system setups, and project planning;
  • Assisting in project coordination, working with internal teams including Service Delivery, Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Technology;
  • Providing regular status updates to clients and internal stakeholders, holding weekly project calls, and maintaining project plans;
  • Supporting the drafting and review of client service agreements;
  • Interacting with the Legal Department on template management and control;
  • Assisting in internal review processes across product and service lines;
  • Providing day-to-day onboarding advice across all Apex Group business lines to meet client needs and maintain good relationships through active communication and teamwork;
  • Supporting the development and execution of ad hoc projects;
  • Supporting the wider onboarding team as required. Reports to the Regional Head of Client Onboarding.

Required Skills

  • A degree, preferably in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field;
  • 1-3 years of experience within the investment funds industry;
  • Understanding of the funds industry, fund structures, domiciles, and regulations is an advantage;
  • Familiarity with fund structuring issues, legal terminology, and fund service agreements;
  • Knowledge of Client KYC requirements is an advantage;
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, able to work semi-autonomously in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong team spirit and enthusiasm, with the ability to build client relationships;
  • Client-facing experience;
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a client servicing mindset;
  • Professional level of English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
