As Client Manager in Spain, you work on the support and development of clients and dealers. You build and develop further long-term and trusting relationships with clients at a management, tactical, and operational level. You give professional advice and consult customers on Rijk Zwaan products and modern technologies. You track market trends and look for new clients. You work with a professional CRM system and accurately forecast the sales forecasts & results.

Additionally, you are responsible for:

  • Define the strategy for your clients (Know his position in the chain, Identify potential growth opportunities, create the strategy and translate into a concrete client plan).
  • Lead client activities (Be the first point of contact for the client and introduce the right specialists at the right time, Identify and develop relationships with key decision makers of the client at all levels, Work across Rijk Zwaan to create custom solutions, Identify strategic partnership opportunities).
  • Be accountable for the results (Identify sales opportunities and report activities of the competition, make the value of our proposition explicit, be responsible for the collection of overdue payments, deal promptly with potential complaints).
  • Use RZ systems and tooling for effective international collaboration (CRM, Analyze client information, timely sales forecast).
  • Take care of communication with relevant stakeholders.

You are based in Almería and committed to providing a high service level and to maintaining the ethics of the company. You take initiative easily and have a commercial and client-focused approach. You have good analytical skills and are able to think strategically. You are a team player and have strong communication skills. You keep track of the latest developments in the horticultural industry, being an independent self-starter with the ability to set your own goals and agenda in line with the company policy and the local management.

  • A completed Bachelor’s degree in the field of Agriculture.
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience in sales and account management in an international environment.
  • Influence and persuasion to lead and manage diverse client teams.
  • Networking skills – ability to build bridges and connect people.
  • Willing to travel frequently (both domestic and international).
  • Project and process management skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English language.
