The Role

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced and qualified Sewer Maintenance Technician to join our team in Melbourne at a well-known client site.

Reporting to the Works Coordinator Sewer, the Sewer Maintenance Technician will work within a sewer crew to repair, unblock mains, respond to customer requests, and undertake various sewer-related repairs within the CBD and West of Melbourne. The successful applicant is required to follow appropriate procedures and specifications, ensuring activities are carried out safely, satisfactorily, and efficiently. Specific projects may also be assigned as needed.

Skills and Experience
  • Awareness of and a strong commitment to OH&S procedures and standards
  • Experience working in compliance with all quality, safety, and environmental legislation
  • Experience in the Waste Water Industry (preferred but not essential)
  • A self-starter capable of working with limited supervision
  • Strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork
  • Ability to work on a rotating roster
  • Valid Victorian manual driver’s license (HR or HC preferred)
  • Deep Excavation Experience
  • Working at Heights Training
  • Current Excavator Ticket, Confined Space Entry Ticket, and up-to-date Hepatitis and Tetanus vaccinations
