Bryden Wood in Spain (Cataluña) is seeking an enthusiastic Civil Engineer who will model civil systems using Civil 3D and BIM tools within a dynamic design team. You will collaborate across disciplines and support the civil team on civils design for diverse projects.

You should have about 1 year in a civil engineering design office, a relevant engineering degree, and fluency in English and Spanish to communicate with international and local stakeholders.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Civil Engineer- Civil 3D -BIM Modeller to join our exciting and dynamic design team at Bryden Wood.

As part of the civil engineering team, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a cutting-edge and dynamic design environment, collaborating with – and learning from – the multiple disciplines across the company. Our projects range from railways to hospitals to large scale residential developments to carbon-neutral office buildings.

Key responsibilities

You will be responsible for modelling civil systems by working collaboratively with the rest of the civil team and many other disciplines at Bryden Wood.

Support the civil team designing civils systems.

Technical skills

• Proficiency in (and enthusiasm for) design and modelling software including, Autodesk Civil 3D , Revit, and hydraulic modelling software such as InfoDrainage.
• A good understanding of BIM requirements. Knowledge of Revit beneficial but not necessary. If the candidate does not have experience with Revit, a willingness to learn will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of Civil Engineering principles applied to levels, underground drainage, pavements and roads, flooding, and earthworks.
• Good understanding of below ground utilities (ducts, pipes, and chamber coordination and specification) , working knowledge and willingness to learn is essential.
• Experience with submission and approval with relevant Spanish bodies and authorities (Colegio de Ingenieros, municipalities, environmental authorities, statutory undertakers, and other stakeholders).
• Good knowledge of Spanish design codes, standards and regulations including , PG3, CTE, Guía de cimentaciones en obras de Carretera.
• Knowledge of UK and European codes is an advantage.

About you

• 1 year experience of working in a civil engineering design office.
• University degree as Ingeniero de Caminos Canales y Puertos, Ingeniero de Obras Públicas , Ingeniero Civil, Ingenierio Edificación.
• Fluent in spoken and written in English and Spanish.
