A leading recruitment consultancy is seeking a strategic and hands-on Fractional CTO in Sevilla, Spain. This role involves shaping and executing the technology roadmap, strengthening product and engineering capabilities, and ensuring platform scalability. The ideal candidate has significant SaaS experience, a strong architectural background, and excellent communication skills. Flexibility for critical moments is essential, as this position requires a commitment of two days per week.
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Fractional CTO to support our clients growth journey in a PE-backed SaaS business. You will work closely with the leadership team to shape and execute the technology roadmap, strengthen our product and engineering capabilities, and ensure our platform is scalable, secure, and fit for future growth.This is a high-impact role for a seasoned technology leader who understands the demands of scaling a SaaS platform in a private equity context.Key Responsibilities :
define a clear, pragmatic technology roadmapEnsure platform scalability, performance, and resilience to support growth objectivesIntroduce engineering best practices and help optimise delivery processes (DevOps, CI / CD, testing, etc.)Define and implement cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance standardsAdvise on technical team development – including hiring, leadership coaching, and org designSupport product and commercial leadership in shaping the product roadmapWork with the PE investors on tech due diligence, value creation initiatives, and exit readinessProvide hands-on support where needed, while empowering internal teams to deliver~What We’re Looking For :
Proven experience as CTO or senior technology leader in a SaaS or B2B software environmentStrong architectural and technical background – ideally cloud-native, API-first, and data-rich platformsExperience scaling platforms and teams in high-growth or PE-backed businessesStrong understanding of security, compliance (e.G. ISO 27001, SOC2), and software development lifecycleExcellent communication skills – able to engage with engineers, C-suite, and investors alikeAvailable to commit on a fractional basis (e2 days per week) with flexibility for critical moments
