We are partnering with a pioneering international games studio to recruit a Chief Technology Officer who will lead the technical vision and architecture of the organisation. Based in a multicultural environment with offices in Yerevan and Barcelona, this role will ensure the company’s gaming platform remains at the forefront of innovation while meeting all scalability, reliability, security, and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and natural leader who thrives in collaborative environments, brings a strong sense of ownership and accountability, and is passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology to deliver and support exceptional gaming experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the organisation’s overall technical strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Own the architecture, design, development, and product roadmap of the platform.

• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

• Oversee system design and development processes, making critical architectural decisions and ensuring high code quality.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class gaming experiences.

• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends in the gaming and blockchain sectors, ensuring the organisation remains an industry leader.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in the online casino industry, ideally from the provider side, with a deep understanding of its processes.

• Strong expertise in backend development, particularly with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js; knowledge of Rust and Kotlin is advantageous.

• Proficiency with GitHub repositories, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Google Cloud, and other tools for managing containerised applications and deploying cloud-based solutions.

• Proven ability to automate business workflows; experience integrating AI, LLMs, and generative AI into processes is a plus.

• Demonstrated experience managing compliance requirements in the gambling industry.

• Experience with platform and player monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance and security.

• Strong documentation skills for platforms, APIs, and related tools.

• Experience integrating with online casino partners.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• A history of making and communicating impactful architectural decisions.

• A proactive mindset with a passion for innovation in gaming and technology.
