Financial Manager - Financial Planning and Analysis
Job Description:
The Commercial Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in managing the region's financial performance, focusing on profitability, growth, cost containment, and risk management. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and profitability analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support FP&A by collaborating with schools' Business Managers, SCP Business Controlling Manager, and SCP Finance Manager to develop long-term financial plans.
- Bridge the gap between finance and business operations by ensuring that business initiatives are financially viable and contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization.
- Identify and assess business opportunities by analyzing complex financial data and providing insights to support decision-making.
- Provide project management support for expansion projects, acquisitions, and post-merger integrations.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Finance to develop and execute strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals and objectives.
- Monitor key KPIs and provide insights on opportunities to improve margins by analyzing opportunities for cost containment and revenue enhancements in schools.
- Work closely with schools' Business Managers and SCP Finance Operations team to ensure an accurate rolling forecast.
- Collaborate with the Business Controlling Manager and SCP Finance Manager to ensure business outcomes are aligned with financial targets.
- Assist the Head of Finance in driving the annual budgeting and 5-year plan revision process for the region.
- Identify and quantify risks and opportunities.
- Model business cases and carry out sensitivity analyses for existing and future business opportunities.
- Track and monitor data for variance analysis.
- Prepare financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for the Head of Finance's review and use in executive meetings.
- Collaborate with schools and the finance team to gather and analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Provide project management support for key finance-related initiatives, including cross-functional projects and process improvements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting, with the ability to develop long-term financial plans.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and improving profitability.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the education sector or similar industry is advantageous.
