The CML Advocates Network (CMLAN) is an active international network for leaders of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) patient groups, connecting 131 patient organisations across 96 countries. It aims to facilitate and support best practice sharing among patient advocates worldwide. Hosted under the Leukemia Patient Advocates Foundation (LePAF), a Swiss-based non-profit, the network is governed by a Steering Committee of six regional CML patient advocates and three co-founders.
The network seeks a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide strategic leadership, planning, and operational management, serving the global CML community and supporting those affected by this chronic condition.
The CEO reports to the network chair and Steering Committee, leading strategic direction and management. Responsibilities include:
Required skills: Leadership experience in non-profit settings, project management, negotiation, public speaking, staff management, fundraising, legal and financial knowledge, and proficiency with relevant tools and platforms.
Special conditions: Location preferably within an EU Member State, willingness to travel (~30 days/year), and flexible working hours.
