We seek a results-driven professional to lead the purchasing strategy for assigned consumables categories within our Clinical Diagnostic business line. This key role involves overseeing global sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and driving performance through data, innovation, and continuous improvement. The role emphasizes financial impact, ESG alignment, and operational efficiency, contributing to a top-tier procurement function. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading and implementing the purchasing strategy for assigned consumables categories across the Group.
  2. Managing and monitoring the progress of all planned projects, and taking corrective actions when necessary.
  3. Developing and managing strategic category plans, including risk management, to meet financial targets (P&L and cash flow).
  4. Leading global supplier sourcing activities, including RFI and RFP processes.
  5. Identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities, best practices, and innovations through continuous improvement and total cost of ownership (TCO) approaches.
  6. Addressing supplier issues and leading corrective actions to resolve quality and SLA deviations.
  7. Tracking and reporting on KPIs, evaluating performance, and initiating corrective actions when targets are not met.
  8. Building strong supplier relationship management frameworks and developing strategic partnerships to achieve excellence.
  9. Supporting ESG initiatives aligned with Eurofins Group’s sustainability goals.
  10. Overseeing and tracking the integration of acquired laboratories to maximize procurement synergies.
  11. Evaluating new tools and defining processes to improve efficiency and performance.

Qualifications include:

  • An educational background in Business, Finance, or Engineering; MBA preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in purchasing, including leading global sourcing projects in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, prioritize effectively, and work in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Experience with Procure-to-Pay tools such as Coupa or Ariba.
