Kantox is seeking a Cash Management & Settlements Specialist in Barcelona to join the Operations team. You will oversee end-to-end settlements, payment processing, and cash reconciliation, gaining broad exposure to the full transaction lifecycle.

You will collaborate with Finance, Compliance, and Technology to improve processes, resolve discrepancies, and support audits while working in a hybrid Barcelona office setting.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or related field.
• Proficient Excel with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and data analysis.
• Basic understanding of financial and operational risk management.
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactive, result-oriented with multi-tasking ability.
• Experience in fintech/financial services/payments/reconciliation is a plus.
• Interest or experience in Power BI or similar data tools.

Cash Management & Settlements Specialist | Based in Barcelona

Every FX transaction Kantox processes has to settle correctly, on time, and without gaps. The Operations team is the function that makes that happen, and we are looking for a Cash Management & Settlements Specialist to sit at the centre of it.
This is a hybrid back-office role that combines end-to-end settlements and payment processing with cash reconciliation and data analysis, ideal for someone who wants broad exposure across the full transaction lifecycle rather than a narrow slice of it.

What you will work on

• Supervising incoming and outgoing transactions, ensuring payments are released and processed without delays for our clients
• Assisting with bank enquiries and working closely with our banking partners to resolve settlement queries and payment processing issues
• Managing Kantox's collateral exposure and client margin call processing
• Performing daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial records, investigating and resolving discrepancies so all transactions are accurately recorded
• Supporting audits by providing detailed reconciliation reports and documentation, and ensuring transactions comply with company policies and financial regulations
• Collaborating with Finance on the reporting of funds and with our Technology team on automation initiatives and process improvements
• Working closely with team members on payment reconciliation issues and ensuring operational continuity
• Maintaining organised records and compiling data to assist with ad-hoc reporting requests

The setup

You will be based in our Barcelona office, working within the Operations team at the centre of daily FX trading and payment operations. You will interact regularly with Client Transaction Services, Cash Management and Settlements, Customer Success, Finance, Compliance and Risk, and Technology. This is a role with real cross-functional exposure and direct impact on how clients experience Kantox day-to-day.

Who you are

You have a solid academic background in finance or a related field and a genuine interest in financial markets, foreign exchange, and banking systems. You are detail-oriented, comfortable with numbers, and the kind of person who investigates a discrepancy rather than lets it sit.

Concretely:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field
• Comfortable with MS Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis
• Basic understanding of financial and operational risk management
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work accurately to deadlines
• Proactive, result-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Prior experience in fintech, financial services, payments, or reconciliation and financial operations is a plus
• Experience or interest in Power BI or similar data visualisation tools is a plus
