Overview

Join our dynamic team in Barcelona as a Cash Application Analyst. A Cash Application Analyst plays a vital role in the accounts receivable department, ensuring that incoming payments are accurately recorded and applied to the correct customer accounts. The Cash Applications Analyst is responsible for applying payments timely and accurately to customer accounts. The Cash Application Analyst ensures that the company has a clear understanding of its cash position, which is essential for budgeting and financial planning. In addition, this role will require identifying payment discrepancies, post back to customer account payment differences. This position will also have regular interaction with the credit/collection department to track payments confirmed by customer not allocated.

Key Responsibilities

• Posting of incoming payments: The Cash Application Analyst ensures that all incoming payments are accurately recorded and applied to customer accounts. This helps maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records, which are crucial for financial reporting and analysis.
• Invoice Matching: Match payments to corresponding invoices. Reconciling payments with multiple invoices or partial payments can be complex and challenging. Ensuring that all payments are accurately matched to the correct invoices requires attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Reconciliation: Cash operations accounts account and ensure all payments are correctly applied.
• Analyze: Analyze and investigate payment discrepancies to resolve them. By accurately processing payments and resolving discrepancies, the Cash Application Analyst provides essential data for financial reports. This data is used by the finance team to prepare accurate financial statements and reports, which are critical for decision-making and strategic planning.
• Compliance & Controls: Assist in the preparation of reports related to internal controls, including any audits related to ash activity.
• Innovation: Opportunity to supervise BOTs and learn how to work with BOTs
