Carrier Performance Specialist, Amazon Transportation Services

As a Carrier Performance Specialist (CPX), you will drive the performance of our third-party carrier fleet to maintain Amazon Customer eXperience standards and improve transportation efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

You will develop plans to enhance carrier delivery KPIs, liaise with carriers to ensure agreement and execution, and assess their readiness for peak periods to ensure consistent delivery levels.

You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including operational teams, retail teams, and third-party carriers.

Key job responsibilities

1. Analyze and interpret data to improve transportation performance metrics.
2. Investigate root causes of performance failures and implement corrective actions in partnership with carriers.
3. Gather industry best practices and standards to educate and improve carrier performance.
4. Design and improve performance management processes, formalized in SOPs.
5. Influence business decisions based on carrier performance data.
6. Advise on and manage operational challenges with cross-functional teams.
7. Support planning and organization of complex projects.

A day in the life

This role involves problem-solving, working with various teams to address challenges impacting our network, and proactive planning for quality standards and new projects. Daily tasks may range from investigating delivery issues to coaching transportation partners.

This position is based in Prague, our European headquarters.

About the team

The Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team is vital for Amazon’s delivery speed and efficiency, utilizing air, sea, and road transport. The team leverages data to drive decisions, prioritize safety, and ensure packages reach destinations quickly, conveniently, and sustainably.

Basic qualifications

• Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
