Job Description

At Amazon, we believe that every day is still day one—a day to take a first step, face new challenges, and be part of something great. We are looking for an Italian Speaking Carrier Manager to join our team!

As an integral part of the Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team, the Carrier Manager oversees a geographical transportation market. The successful candidate will develop and grow regional programs, identify operational, service, and process improvements to enhance customer experience cost-effectively. The ATS team collaborates with Amazon's FCs, Sort Centers, Delivery Stations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Retail, and Finance teams, as well as external service providers, providing business and logistics expertise for optimal delivery solutions. This role offers cross-regional and international exposure.

Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships with carriers, resolving operational issues and supporting commercial and contractual negotiations.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives with performance teams, carriers, and operations to enhance safety, cost efficiency, reliability, service quality, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Warehouses, and Retail to determine future transportation demand, translating this into capacity plans, market strategies, and budget planning with senior Finance partners.
  • Develop strategies for each Line Haul supply program, ensuring sufficient capacity during peak seasons like Prime week, and driving success in costs, reliability, and safety.
  • Maintain accurate reporting on key metrics, and conduct regular business reviews with leadership and internal stakeholders (WBR/MBR/QBR).
  • Work across the EU in a cross-functional environment.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in supply chain
  • Advanced proficiency in written and verbal Italian and English
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • Experience in program or project management
  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience in defining and implementing process improvements using data and metrics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience leading process improvements
  • Stakeholder management experience with varied organizational levels
  • Experience in process building, project management, and scheduling
  • Knowledge of Spanish and French is helpful
