Job summary

The Crew Network is seeking an experienced Captain for a private 38m motor yacht based in Palma. Start date ASAP with an international crew and a challenging itinerary that spans the Caribbean in winter and the Mediterranean in summer.

Salary is EUR 10,000 per month with 60 days of leave. The ideal candidate will have Master 500, STCW, ENG1, B1/B2, and proven cross-ocean sailing experience, especially in the Mediterranean and Caribbean seas.

Qualifications

• Must hold Master 500, STCW and ENG1 certificates.
• EU resident with B1/B2 visa.
• Experience as Captain on a vessel of similar size with a steel hull.
• Proven crossings and long-distance passages experience.
• Strong leadership and communication for an international crew.
• Familiar with class requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead an international crew on a private 38m M/Y.
• Plan and execute Mediterranean and Caribbean itineraries.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance onboard at all times.
• Coordinate with shipyard and operations during port calls and returns to berth.
• Oversee voyage planning, weather routing, and crew welfare.

Requirements:

• Master 500, STCW, ENG1

• Previous experience as Captain on similar size vessel, with steel hull
• Previous experience with crossings and long-distance passages
• Strong knowledge and experience navigating in the Mediterranean and Caribbean Sea
• Familiar with class requirements

TCN is currently seeking an experienced and professional Captain to join a private 38m M/Y, with an international crew on board. The vessel is currently in the shipyard and is scheduled to return to her home berth on the 21st of October. The vessel is planning to cross to the Caribbean at the end of November. The ideal candidate will have extensive cruising experience in both the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, as well as previous experience with ocean crossings. The successful candidate will be a confident and capable leader, with strong communication and team-management skills, and the ability to lead an international crew in a professional and positive environment.
