Position : Primary School Principal (Head of Primary) (50% teaching and 50% leadership allocation)
Reporting to : Head of School
Salary and Benefits : Competitive salary commensurate with the role's responsibilities and the candidate's experience. Raoul Wallenberg International School in Palma, Mallorca, is seeking a passionate, organised, and strategic thinker to join our leadership team as Primary School Principal. This is a unique opportunity for a leader who thrives on teamwork and leads by example, helping to build a future-focused, holistic education programme from the ground up in only the second year of the school's operations.
In this pivotal role, the Principal will take full responsibility for the daily operations and coordination of the primary school, while also playing an integral part in shaping its long-term direction. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the Principal will oversee student wellbeing and curriculum development and delivery, lead the team through the RWIS professional development, support, and evaluation programme, and ensure the provision of high-quality teaching, learning, curriculum and assessment.
This position is ideal for a candidate who is committed to holistic education that fosters the physical, social, emotional, and academic development of all students. As a two-form entry school with a capacity of approximately 200 students in Years 1 to 6, RWIS offers a nurturing environment of approximately 16 students per class where high levels of differentiation, collaboration, and innovation are expected.
The Principal will guide a team of classroom teachers, learning assistants, and learning support specialists, ensuring the school remains committed to its guiding statements.
Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), which includes the Head of School, Business Operations Manager, Student Life Coordinator, and Curriculum Coordinator.
