Action seeks a Capacity Planner to support the Process Control department, translating forecasts into optimal local capacity plans. You will collaborate across management to ensure staffing aligns with demand and monitor changes in planning systems for efficiency.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years in capacity/demand planning, with strong analytics, Excel, and BI tool proficiency. This is an on-site, full-time position at the Banyeres de Penedès DC.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Experience with capacity or demand planning is preferred.
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities with stakeholders.
• Proficient with WFM systems and planning tools.

Responsabilidades

• Transfer central forecast to local forecast for outbound/inbound and process departments.
• Analyze data and prepare staffing forecasts to monitor adjustments.
• Assess staffing levels based on analytical data and forecasts.
• Determine required staffing capacity from the forecast.
• Coordinate changes in the planning system for operations.
• Act as contact for team leaders on temporary staffing matters.
• Develop employment forecasts for temporary staff considering demand.
• Create monthly reports on temp staff employment.
• Monitor and report KPIs to Operational Management and Head Office.

Capacity Planner

The Capacity Planner is part of the Process Control department and reports to the Process Manager. He/she supports the entire operational planning process and is responsible for optimizing the local forecast and associated capacity planning. Supports operations in the areas of planning issues and capacity management. In collaboration with operational management, the position ensures that the forecast is correctly translated into optimal capacity planning. It is the point of contact for operational management with regard to capacity issues. Frequent consultations take place.

Key accountabilities Implementation

• Responsible for transferring the central forecast (SOP planning) to the local forecast in order to prepare and maintain forecasts for the Outbound/Inbound and Process operational departments
• Analyzing data and preparing planning forecasts (staffing) to maintain constant vigilance regarding possible adjustments, performance levels and improvements
• Assessing staffing levels based on analytical data and forecasts
• Responsible for determining the required staffing capacity based on the forecast
• Monitors the timely and correct implementation of changes in the planning system to support the entire operational organization
• Responsible for central coordination and acting as a point of contact for team leaders on all relevant matters relating to the operational activities of temporary employment agencies
• Developing employment forecasts for the temporary employment agency, taking into account dynamic changes in demand
• Creating monthly reports on the employment of temporary employment agency staff
• Monitors, tracks and reports (KPI's) to Operational Management through consultation
• Regular contact and reporting of results and forecasts to the Head Office in the Netherlands

Expertise

• Track and forecast future operational needs and opportunities
• Provides solicited and unsolicited advice to operational management regarding planning, matching, building and reducing resources
• Guides and in collaboration with the Operational Manager, sets up projects for capacity issues relating to the optimisation and implementation of current and new processes
• Supervision of projects related to the optimisation of planning processes and operational resource

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Fluency in English is required, as effective communication with global teams and stakeholders is essential
• At least 3 years of experience in capacity planning, demand planning, forecasting, supply chain planning, or similar
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
• comfortable working with dependencies across multiple stakeholders
• Knowledge of various WFM systems and reporting tools
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Qlikview and Power BI
• familiarity with planning tools such as Logility and Relex is a strong plus
• Actively seeks out the wishes and needs of internal customers within the scope of their own responsibilities and, where possible, delivers even more or faster than agreed or than the (internal) customer expects
