Amazon in Barcelona seeks a Capacity Planning Manager to own strategic cross-functional initiatives within the Last Mile & Middle Mile network. You will drive data-driven improvements, establish operational metrics, and lead large-scale projects end-to-end in a dynamic environment.

You will collaborate with Technology, Product, and Operations teams to ensure efficient capacity planning, alignment with business goals, and scalable solutions across the network.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • Experience with data analysis and cross-functional groups.
  • Proficiency in Excel/SQL/Tableau or similar BI tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication with senior leadership.
  • Ability to solve complex problems through data-driven approaches.

Responsabilidades

Capacity Planning Manager, MMN Capacity Planning

Capacity Planning is a high-powered creative team which is shaping the transportation planning and execution within the Last Mile & Middle Mile operations network. This team develops and applies innovative transportation management concepts to improve and enhance the transportation network and bring the best customer experience through reliability and cost efficiencies. We are looking for a Capacity Planning Manager to own and implement strategic, cross-functional management initiatives. The role is based in Barcelona.

Key job responsibilities
  • Lead process improvement initiatives with aim to improve operational performance.
  • Establish and maintain the operations metrics and communicate them to leadership and other stakeholders through daily/weekly review meetings.
  • Document the standard operating procedures and take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments and among the network.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their areas.
  • Independently own the designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining the large scale projects.
A day in the life

As Capacity Planning Manager, you’ll drive and manage the implementation of creative, data-driven change in Amazon, leading improvement initiatives. You’ll use strategic thinking to define and implement an efficient project plan. Capacity Planning Managers have significant responsibilities, and you’ll deal with complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. With a responsibility extending beyond process improvements, you could also contribute to improving other areas of the business, like diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • Experience communicating and working with a wide range of groups, including Technology, Product Management, Accounting, CS, and Senior Management
  • Experience with tools/systems to analyze data including Excel, Access, SQL or other data management systems
  • Experience identifying and solving complex problems through data analysis
  • Experience in stakeholder management and communication management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or above
  • Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in managing and troublshooting network and experience in software development
  • Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred)
