El Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria busca un Investigador en Oncología con una sólida base en investigación y al menos 5 años de experiencia clínica. El contrato es a tiempo completo y se focaliza en el desarrollo de modelos de datos interoperables para investigaciones sobre cáncer, contribuyendo a un proyecto financiado por el Ministerio de Transformación Digital. El candidato ideal debe tener un título en Medicina y un máster en Oncología.

Formación

  • Demostrable experiencia clínica de al menos 5 años en cáncer.
  • Experiencia en proyectos de investigación multicentro.
  • Experiencia en la elaboración y seguimiento de registros de cáncer.

Responsabilidades

  • Apoyo a la coordinación científica del proyecto.

Offer Description

The Foundation for Biomedical Research of the Puerta de Hierro University Hospital is the managing body of the Research Institute of the Puerta de Hierro University Hospital, IDIPHISA.

Being part of IDIPHISA means having the opportunity to develop biomedical research activities under conditions of quality and excellence, in the field of clinical and translational research, at national and international level. IDIPHISA currently has 5 research areas and 43 research groups.

JOB OFFER

The area of Translational Research in Lung Cancer is formed by 43 researchers, has published 72 articles in 2024, and is mainly dedicated to the development of research in the following lines : Neoadjuvant Chemoimmunotherapy, Evaluation of the efficacy of new cancer treatments, Clinical Utility of Liquid Biopsy, Tumor Microenvironment, Big Data and digital transformation and Genetic and environmental factors of predisposition to lung cancer.

This contract is being carried out under the grant / project “SHARE : SpanisH cAnceR data spacE”, funded by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service with file number TSI-100123-2024-3, whose objective is the creation of a data space dedicated to the sharing of data from more than lung cancer patients that allows the creation of artificial intelligence models with which to advance knowledge of this disease and develop predictive models that help in its prognosis and survival.

Being part of this project will provide experience in the development of interoperable health data spaces to share data and collaborate in future research on this and other types of cancer, or other diseases.

The activities to be developed are those established in the project report :

  • A1 Project management
  • A2.1 Requirements identification, architecture elaboration and use case design.
  • A2.2 Data Sharing Ecosystem Governance
  • A2.3 Data space design and requirements and architecture document elaboration
  • A3.1 Installation, commissioning and integration of technology platforms
  • A3.2 Integration with reference architectures and data space components
  • A4.1 Development and optimization of federated models
  • A4.2 Integrated testing and model validation
  • A5.1 Communication, dissemination and exploitation of the project
  • A5.5 Networking

TASKS / FUNCTIONS TO BE PERFORMED :

o Support to the scientific coordination of the project

o Validation of clinical data records in databases.

o Collection and analysis of clinical data

o Contribute to the supervision and management of the ethical and legal component of the project in each of its work packages.

o Collaboration in the elaboration of deliverables, follow-up and final reports.

o Exploitation of data for biomedical research using data analysis tools.

o Collaboration in the analysis and interpretation of results obtained

o Development and implementation of data validation processes.

o Support in the identification of requirements, elaboration of architecture and design of the use case

o Collaboration in the development of tests and validation of the model

o Support in the tasks of communication, dissemination and exploitation of the project

o Collaboration in the tasks of Networking

o and in general as many as are necessary for the development of the project in accordance with the required qualification.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Medical Degree.
  • Master in Oncology
  • Demonstrable clinical experience of at least 5 years in cancer.
  • Demonstrable research experience of at least 5 years in cancer.
  • Demonstrable experience in writing scientific articles.

Other merits to be valued :

  • Proven experience in the development of clinical practice guidelines and protocols.
  • Experience in multicenter research projects.
  • Experience in the elaboration and follow-up of cancer registries.
  • Experience in the elaboration of scientific articles published in high impact factor journals.
  • Knowledge in Excel and Access databases.

CONTRACT CONDITIONS

The type of contract is indefinite-term scientific-technical.

The duration of the tasks to be performed is 12 months.

The duration of the contract is subject to :

a) The completion or termination of the project or phase / work package to which the contract is linked.

b) The completion or termination of the economic resources assigned to said project.

c) The termination or extinction of the specific line of financing assigned to the contracting of personnel within said project.

The salary is €33,325.81 gross per year, as established in the current Collective Agreement of the Group of Companies of the Biomedical Research Foundations of the II.SS. of the Sermas.

The dedication will be full time of 37.5 hours per week, and it will not be possible to participate in another project, and it will not be possible to participate in another project.

The place of work is at the Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro de Majadahonda.

EVALUATION AND SELECTION PROCESS

Applications that meet the requirements and are within the deadline of the call will be examined by an evaluation committee composed of three members (a chairperson and two members), who must have at least the same qualifications as those required in the call. One of the members may be replaced by HR staff, if the PI deems it necessary.

Following the recommendation of the Equality Plan, the participation in the tribunals must be balanced between men and women, as far as possible, and its members will follow the recommendations and measures contained in the said Plan to reduce the gender impact, having received the appropriate training for their application.

The selection system will consist of the following phases :

Phase A- Assessment of merits (maximum 60 points) :

The maximum score that may be awarded for the assessment of the different merits will be 60 points, which will be given by the sum of the score obtained in each of the sections :

  • Training : Up to a maximum of 20 points
  • Experience : Up to a maximum of 20 points
  • Specific requirements : Up to a maximum of 20 points.

The merits claimed must be in possession at the closing date for the submission of applications and must be duly documented in order to be assessed if deemed necessary.

In order to pass Phase A and go on to Phase B of interviews, it will be necessary to obtain a score of 30 points or more.

Phase B of Aptitude Assessment and interview (maximum 40 points) : The interview will deal with any aspect related to the applicant's CV and the post to be filled.
