Line of research: Development of clinician-friendly interfaces for the clinical translation of computational tools such as artificial intelligent algorithms and simulations in different medical use cases.
Several advanced computational tools based on artificial intelligence techniques, digital twins, and biophysical/phenomenological models, are being developed as part of several national and international projects in our research group. The translation of these tools asks for the development of clinician-friendly interfaces designed based on state-of-the-art visualization and visual analytics principles, using efficient tools for the creation of frontends, connected with different backend frameworks compatible with hospital environments. For instance, in cardiology applications related to atrial fibrillation patients, it is important for optimizing the clinical workflow to visualize multimodal data associated to each case, including cardiac signals and images (e.g., electrocardiograms, computed tomography scans, echocardiography), demographic information, interventional data (e.g., electroanatomical maps, implanted devices) and simulation results (e.g., from fluid dynamics or electrophysiological simulations).
Tasks to be performed:
The selection of the candidates will be made through evaluation of the curriculum and, where appropriate, with the carrying out a test and/or interview. Valuation will be as follows:
The minimum score to pass the selection process is 85 points. The candidate with the highest score in the selection process will be offered the job.
