NoDYN is a multidisciplinary project led by Gustavo Deco, director of the Computational Neuroscience lab . In this project, we are developing a novel thermodynamics framework based on physics that combines theoretical neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and clinical neuroscience. The framework will be applied to human neuroimaging data from patients suffering from brain disorders (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, stroke, bipolar disorder, autism, and schizophrenia) and healthy participants (middle-aged and older adults) emphasizing women's health (from premenopausal to postmenopausal stages). Project NoDYN Grant PID2022-136216NB-I00 funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by“ERDF A way of making Europe” (PI Gustavo Deco)
The researcher works on Objectives 3, 4, and 6.
Objective 3: Quantification of the non-reversibility/non-equilibrium degree from neuroimaging data in healthy participants (middle-aged and older adults), women in premenopause and postmenopause stages, and patients suffering from brain disorders (stroke, ADHD, bipolar disorder, autism, and schizophrenia).
Objective 4: Build computational whole-brain models based on the empirical data of healthy participants and patients mentioned above to investigate causal mechanisms underlying non-reversibility/non-equilibrium in brain dynamics.
Objective 6: Objective 6: Reveal new biomarkers based on the novel concepts of non-equilibrium/non-reversibility dynamics combined with artificial intelligence to stratify patients.
Tasks to be performed:
Group and complement: Group 3 + Level U
Dedication and working hours: Part time (22,5 h/week).
Planned remuneration approx: 18.434,56€ gross per year
