C++ Software Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a C++ Software Engineer in Donostia-San Sebastian. This hybrid role involves creating desktop applications dedicated to medical imaging, combining remote work with regular in-office collaboration. You will work closely with Product Specialists, R&D, and Business Development teams to deliver innovative imaging solutions.

Main Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain the core C++ library, tools, and GUI of the application.
2. Implement and maintain automated tests for library and GUI components.
3. Collaborate with R&D, Product Specialists, and Business Development teams to ensure functional and user-focused solutions.
4. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.

Qualifications

Required:

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of professional experience in object-oriented programming with C++.
• Experience developing desktop applications using Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and GUI development.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong communication skills, responsibility, and ability to work independently and in a team.
• English: Professional working proficiency.

Preferred:

• Experience with VTK and/or ITK for 3D visualization and image processing.
• Familiarity with GUI development using WxWidgets.
• Experience with Windows API and desktop application frameworks.
• Experience with SQL-based database management.
• Exposure to continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Experience with the DICOM standard and integration of medical imaging software with PACS/HIS.
