You will obtain quotes, prepare SAP purchase orders, source components globally, coordinate production schedule changes with suppliers, and collaborate with Engineering on prototypes. Applicants should have 3–8 years of purchasing experience and a relevant degree, with strong English communication.

EFI is looking for a Buyer in our manufacturing plant from Almassora, Spain.

This position is working for procurement of assigned materials and service utilizing the most cost effective use of company funds. Work through supply changes to ensure EFI meets short and long term manufacturing and non-manufacturing goals in terms of cost and delivery schedule.

• Obtains verbal and written price quote from vendors
• Prepares purchase orders using SAP for the purchase of goods and services
• Researches and sources engineering defined components globally
• Coordinates production schedule changes with the suppliers by negotiating price adjustments for either up or down volume swings.
• Collaborates with Engineering and other groups on prototype product procurement
• Processes Engineering changes for purchased components
• Maintains professional business relationship with suppliers.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering, Science in Business Administration or equivalent and three to five years of purchasing experience or five to eight years of purchasing experience without BS degree.
• Common business practices relating to the purchase, pricing, terms, shipment, taxes, and payment for goods and services
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Have thorough knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures and sound business controls
• Strong Knowledge of fabrication techniques, sheet metal, machining and finishes
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results
• Have great oral and written communications kills
• Candidates must have experience in manufacturing or operations/Engineering in similar type of industry
• Understand inventory management process
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, English at a professional level is a requirement for this role.
